16 Months

At almost 16 months, Shiloh is a gal on the go. She loves dolls and being outside, and could push her baby doll stroller around all day. She makes all sorts of animal sounds, doing an especially good horse. She can open doors (yikes!) and is always searching around kitchen cabinets and drawers. She may lift your shirt in search of your belly button. At her 15-month doctor's appointment, she was in the 35th percentile for both height and weight.

She got her first taste of the Big Apple this month and had fun on the bumpy subway. She didn't love all the startling city street noise but especially had a great time at Washington Sq. Park, FAO Schwartz and a hippie children's arthouse in SoHo.

Some of her favorite books are What Does Baby Say? (to which she chimes in baba, mama, uh-oh, ni-night, etc.), Goodnight Gorilla, The Going to Bed Book, But Not the Hippopotamus and of course, Goodnight Moon.
